Boswellia serrata na stawy

Boswellia serrata for joints – when science gets the best from nature.

Boswellia serrata is a tree species native to India, whose resin has been used for centuries for medicinal and ritual purposes (used in the production of incense). The plant is known as Indian frankincense. The properties of frankincense gum extract were first described in Ayurveda thousands of years ago. The plant was among the most highly regarded remedies in ancient India, as it was already noted for its effectiveness in relieving joint inflammation, but Ayurvedic texts also list it as an effective remedy for diarrhea, dysentery, fever, skin and blood diseases, sore throat, cough, hair loss, jaundice, liver disease and much more. Modern medicine values Boswellia serrata primarily as an agent:

  • anti-arthritic,
  • anti-inflammatory,
  • antihyperlipidemic (regulates blood lipid levels),
  • anti-atherosclerotic,
  • analgesic,
  • anticancer,
  • Hepatoprotective (protects the liver).

Indian frankincense – anti-inflammatory properties.

The resinous part of frankincense is a wealth of precious boswellic acids, among which it is worth noting 3-acetyl-11-keto-beta-boswellic acid (AKBBA). It is considered the most potent inhibitor of 5-lipoxygenase – the enzyme responsible for the formation of other pro-inflammatory factors, known as leukotrienes. People suffering from impaired fat metabolism produce an excess of arachidonic acid, which is considered one of the most significant pro-inflammatory substances in the body. The modern diet is saturated with foods containing peanut acid, and too much of it exacerbates inflammatory diseases, including arthritis. Boswellic acids effectively block the negative effects of excess peanut acid, as numerous scientific studies have proven.

Boswellia serrata for joints – effectiveness and safety.

The unique properties of frankincense are used in the treatment of osteoarthritis, chronic joint inflammation and rheumatoid arthritis. Research subjects noted that after taking Boswellia serrata, their pain was significantly reduced and inflammation eased. In addition, there was an increase in the range of motion of the affected joints and a reduction in swelling within the joint. Boswellia serrata protects cartilage tissue from degradation, supports not only the joints, but also the entire skeletal system, so it clearly affects the quality of life of people suffering from diseases related to the musculoskeletal system.

Therefore, we decided to use the power of frankincense in natural preparations salio SB and salio BG, which show high effectiveness in the treatment of joint disorders. Despite their effectiveness, they are completely safe for health, with no unwanted side effects as is the case with synthetic drugs with similar effects. Let’s treat, but with our heads. Sometimes it’s worth turning to traditional and natural, but science-backed, methods of treatment, instead of reaching for synthetic and not always safe for us drugs.
